Scott's Homemade began in 2009 when a dear friend who was terminally ill, lost her appetite. Her favorite snack was cheese straws. They were really the only thing she found appetizing. Unfortunately the ones available in the stores just didn't taste very good. Most were made with Palm oil, margarine, and other low quality ingredients. I had an old family recipe that we decided to make, that used real butter, sharp cheddar cheese, organic flour and just the right amount of spice. As luck would have it, she tried them, loved them and started eating them regularly. She would offer them to her friends when they stopped by to visit and they raved about them too! After she said many times that we needed to sell these, we finally decided to do it. The rest is history. Our dear friend has passed on, but her memory is alive and well in our business.
